Solar for Businesses and Commercial Buildings

Commercial properties are some of the best candidates for rooftop solar. Shops, offices, showrooms, schools, clinics, hospitals and hotels typically use the most electricity during daylight hours — exactly when panels generate. Using solar power directly can reduce the units drawn from the grid at commercial tariffs.

Suntail Solar plans commercial systems around your actual load. We study your bills, understand your operating hours and design a system that fits your roof and budget, with costs and expected returns laid out before you decide.

Energy Use and Cost Considerations

  • Daytime load: the share of consumption during sunlight hours drives how much solar you can use directly
  • Tariff category: commercial tariffs and fixed charges affect the value of each unit saved
  • Seasonal variation: summer cooling loads differ from winter, so we look at a full year of bills where possible
  • Sanctioned load: may limit system size or require an application to the distribution company
  • Growth plans: planned expansion can be factored into the design

Rooftop Suitability and Site Assessment

During the visit we check usable roof area, orientation and shading from neighbouring buildings, tanks or signage; the roof material and its condition; access for installation and cleaning; and the route to your electrical panel. For RCC roofs we assess mounting options; for metal sheets we check sheet type and purlin spacing.

System Sizing and Project Planning

We size the system to match your daytime consumption, the available roof and any sanctioned-load limits. The proposal includes the layout, components, scope of work, timeline and an estimated return based on clearly stated assumptions. Where the roof allows more capacity than you need today, we can plan for future expansion.

Installation Process

  1. Bill and load review
  2. Site assessment and roof survey
  3. Design, proposal and approval
  4. Approvals and net-metering application guidance, where applicable
  5. Installation planned around business hours to limit disruption
  6. Testing, commissioning and handover
